How does Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) work?
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is the art of resculpting metal by getting behind the dent with rods, bars, and other special tools and massaging the metal back into its original shape without damaging the factory paint. The best part about the art of PDR is that it’s shockingly inexpensive and most dents can be repaired in just one day!
We aren’t exaggerating either, it really is an art. A Paintless Dent Repair technician trains for nearly 8 months before they can start repairing the simple dents and dings. It takes years of experience to begin tackling the larger and more complex damage. With over 60 years of combined experience, Dent Tricks is the most trusted and dependable dent repair service provider in Middle Georgia. We’ve earned this reputation by challenging ourselves with some nasty dents and consistently succeeding in reaching a higher percentage of pre-accident condition on our clients’ vehicles.
Typically, PDR is used in dent situations where the vehicle’s paint job hasn’t been damaged. If the paint has been altered, we may have other ways of helping restore your vehicle’s appearance and value. Learn about our paint touch up services.
So I’ve got a dent, now what?
The great thing about Dent Tricks is we love making our clients happy! So, if you’ve got a dent, call us and we’ll say, “Would you like us to come to you, would you like to bring your vehicle to Dent Tricks, or would you prefer emailing or texting us some pictures?” We will schedule an appointment with you to assess the damage and give you an estimate. Our technicians are happy to assess your automobile’s dents at your workplace, home, or your favorite big box store parking lot – whatever is easiest for you! And, of course, you can drop your vehicle off at our location at 3190 Vineville Avenue in Macon, GA, and have us take a look.
During this appointment, we’ll give you an estimate on how much time we think it will take, quote you a price, and give you an expectation for the level of repair we will be able to perform.
Expectations on the different levels of repair:
- “You’ll never know where that dent was and your friends won’t either!”
- “You might be able to see that dent if you look hard enough and stand on one foot with the waxing light of the moon behind your left ear.”
- “We can make the dent look better, but it’s not going to be invisible.”
If you have time, we can go ahead and fix your dent at the first appointment, but many folks choose to schedule a repair appointment at their convenience. In most cases, Paintless Dent Repair is a same-day service.
